About Our Store Locator Software
The short answer is almost certainly yes. Our Store Locator software works an every web, E-Commerce or Blogging platform anyone has ever asked us about. Feel free to contact us to ask, but if you can add HTML to your site, you should be able to install our Store Locator.
It's simple. Your customers visit your "Store Locator" page (can be called whatever you want) and enter their Zip Code, Postal Code, City or address and all of your business locations (setup by you) display on an interactive map based on their location.
Not at all! We've got integrations for all the major store platforms but in all other cases it's just a case of pasting a snipped of text into your website. No coding, we promise and we are available to help get you started at any time and at no extra cost.
Our Store Locator uses Amazon's Cloudfront CDN and S3 platforms to achieve best in class service availability, scalability and resiliency. More information found here.
We don't gather any personally identifiable information (PII) from your visitors as part of providing our store locator service and as such we are fully compliant with the GDPR regulations. Our privacy policy which includes more details on GDPR can be found here.
Our locator can be used for any kind of location search - distributor locators, dealer locators, doctor locators, whatever your requirement is, we can support it. All the wording in the locator can be changed to suit your business.
It can display any information you'd like (phone numbers, hours of operation, store features, etc) and it will also provide driving directions without requiring users to navigate away from your web page. Click here to view a live demo.
Absolutely not! We have a bulk upload tool which allows hundreds, or even thousands of stores to be created at once to save you time!
We support locations in any country where Google Maps provides a mapping service which is virtually the entire planet. The list of supported countries can be found here. We require Map Tiles and Geocoding to be supported for our Store Locator.
Security is one of our top priorities. See here for our detailed security statement.
Usage Limits and Mapping Service Provider Costs
We have integrated three different mapping services with our store locator software which are Google Maps, Mapbox and Open Street Map. You are free to choose from any of these providers depending on your preference.
Each plan has a given limit on the number of store locations that can be added to your locator. Our largest (Enterprise) plan supports up to 100,000 locations.
For 95% of our customers, usage of mapping services is completely free as it falls under the free quota for all three mapping services. For heavier users, we recommend using our Open Street Map integration which is free up to 100,000 locator loads a month and is cheapest in class above that usage level. To help answer this question we've put together a Store locator software mapping service cost estimator.
You'll only need to sign up for an API key if you choose to use Google Maps or Mapbox. If you choose to use Open Street Map then we will provide an API key for you to use.
Subscriptions and Payment
Absolutely not - you'll only need to enter payment details if you want to continue past the end of your trial.
You can cancel at any time without notice - even mid-month in which case we'll refund your monthly payment pro-rata.
Of course, you can switch between plans without notice. The difference in plan costs will be calculated pro-rata depending on what date in the month you switch.
Yes, we support annual payments and there is a discount of 10% for subscribing to an annual plan.
Setup Questions
The style of some of the store locator elements such as the size and type of the font used will be inherited from the CSS used in the page on which it is hosted. This is designed to be the case so that the store locator has a similar appearance to the rest of your website or store. If you'd prefer to have it appear differently we can help with this by applying some custom styles - just reach out to us via email or using the Intercom chat.
Absolutely - there are no restrictions on where your store locator is displayed either within one website or if you have multiple sites.
We support linking from either a search bar on the same page or on a different page. Here's our guide on how to set this up.
Absolutely. You can set category filters for each location and choose which ones are displayed either invisibly so you can set a different locator view for each product, or you can allow the customer to choose via checkboxes or a dropdown list. See here for a demonstration of how filters work.
Yes, the locator can be preconfigured to show a particular set of product filters, location or language.
